1
Here is a little tidbit of information that should
help you.
Go to Google, and search for anything. Take a look
at the top 100 or so.
I have included a search on google for elearning:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=elearning
Notice that most of the top 100 sites have the search
name in the domain name. In other words, if you typed in elearning,
most of the top 100 searches will have elearning in their domain
name.
This is a really big issue and most people do not
realize how powerful this is. Now you do. Next time you want to
rank high in the searches for whatever product or service you are
selling, make sure you have that keyword in your domain name. If
you can't have it, you can always add a sub-domain to your site.
elearning.yoursite.com
You can always add to the domain name. You can add
a hyphen if that domain is taken, or you can add a 2, at the end.
Example:
www.yoursite-2.com
www.yoursite2.com
You should know that there is a waiting period a.k.a.
the Google Sandbox for new websites. What is the Sandbox? It is
where Google puts new sites so you don't rise in the ranks to quickly.
Spend this time getting quality links to your site.
